About Us
Thanks for checking us out at Central Ohio Service Dogs. We are based in Reynoldsburg Ohio (east of Columbus) easily accessible by route 270 and Broad Street. Our organization began its roots almost 20 years ago training our very first Service Dog in 2001. A sweet lab mix from an out of state shelter started the whole ball rolling for what is today Central Ohio Service Dogs. Our well-known program is our Owner Training Program that helps hundreds of students from all over Ohio and several neighboring states.
All of the trainers and amazing support staff that are a part of COSD are also disabled and have their own Service Dog to help them on a daily basis. We know from a very personal level how important these specially trained dogs are to each and every one of our students. We understand the hours of work it takes to complete the training, dedication to homework, and the endless love that each of these dogs gives.
Our trainers have gained their knowledge base through internships, apprenticeships, and countless hours of working under a wide variety of mentors. Each dog we work with teaches us something new and gives us more experience to add to our training tool box for the next dog. No two dogs are the same, so our unique program evaluates you and your dog and develops a training plan that will best fit your needs as a team.
